The Secret of Ian Roberts Assault
Former rugby league legend Ian Roberts has been cleared of an allegation he assaulted his ex-boyfriend. Roberts had been charged in July last year with assaulting Ben Prideau when he went to a hostel in Kings Cross, Sydney to retrieve a laptop computer Prideau had taken from his home.
Roberts said he had only touched Prideaux in a bid to calm him down and just wanted to get his laptop back, after Prideaux found Roberts and another man asleep in the same bed and had become agitated, leaving Roberts’ unit with the wrong computer. [Source]
