* Constant quality of the photographs
Every year, the most prestigious photographers in the world come to the StadeFrançais rugby club to shoot the players.
For the 2008 issue of the Dieux du Stade calendar, famous and provocative American photographer Steven Klein was chosen.
* Real rugby players
The guys in the pictures are real. They are no professional models, but real professional rugby players with great physique. Their bodies reflect the grueling practice of this demanding sport.
* The Dieux du Stade DVDs
In 2004, the release of the first making of DVD took the world by storm. TV channels in several countries play clips of the guys posing for the calendar. Now, every year, a making of the Dieux du Stade DVD is released.
Appearing this year are players Geoffroy Messina, Christophe Dominici, Gildas Moro, Jean Monribot, Marcelo Bosch, Matteo Pratichetti, Mirco Bergamasco, Clément Poitrenaud, Juan Martin Berberian, Sergio Parisse, Thomas Combezou, Dimitri Szarzewski and Mathieu Nicolas.

THIS YEAR IT WAS THE TURN FOR PHOTOGRAPHER MARIANO VIVANCO TO POINT HIS CAMERA TOWARDS THE NOW WORLD FAMOUS FRENCH NATIONAL RUGBY TEAM, IN ORDER TO SHOOT THE 6TH EDITION OF THE DIEUX DU STADE CALENDAR.
The Dieux du Stade 2007 calendar is beautiful and can best be described as a photobook with exceptional black & white and color photography of semi-nude and nude male physiques with superior print processing on high-grade/heavy-weight paper. This year’s theme - ‘Day Of Match’ - spanned across 45 pages, shot in a Paris stadium and its suburb, a hotel and a discotheque. One does wonder how much relation there still is to the actual rugby theme. Except from an occasional locker room background and a the more of less traditional rugby ball that appears o some of the images, the whole piece has a strong homo erotic feeling to it which is still nice, but does not have that much relation to the original rugby theme. If you don’t know the men, sometimes the link is hard to find. Nevertheless, the photos are once again beautiful, the muscled and sexy athletes challenging and seductive, and more then yummie.
The Dieux Du Stade calendars have been released annually since 2001. With such success and popularity, beginning in 2004, the calendar shoots are filmed and thus beginning the "Making of the Calendar" DVD series. This year is no exception. -B-

Get ready for the 2007 Dieux du Stade Calendar! This is the 4th installment of the Dieux Du Stade (Gods of the Stadium) series. This French Rugby calendar gets scores of attention each year. The nude photography of the players drives us crazy and the cover of this year’s calendar has just been released.
The 2007 calendar also features a DVD of the French Rugby Team and their friends filmed completely nude as they pose for a calendar photo shoot. This DVD is a documentary of the photo shoot, giving a behind the scenes look at what goes into creating this successful line of calendars. The film includes everything from set selection to the actual taking of the pictures and everything in between.
